Misc Discussions and Memos

#1. Bad hair days and or hard to manage hair.

I have at long last found a great solution for hard to manage hair. At this time, I do not have this set up perfected but I am getting closer by the day.

Products  I use for hard to manage hair:

~Assortment of teas/herbal teas, used to nourish and provide fantastic quick highlights. I find three tea bags, strongly brewed, to 5-6 cups of water a good ratio. Once cooled sufficient for hair rinse, pour in about 2 tablespoons of vinegar. I use a cup to pour over head, saturating all hair and a bowl to collect the poured tea and continue pouring over head for 4-6 minutes. I do not get caught up in rinsing out the tea, I find the use of vinegar aids in a quick rinse off of the tea without the residue of tea. I also find that this tea/vinegar for hair is an instant success for my hair when all commercial products have failed.
Advice, set up a routine where the tea rinse is first, and do the rest of your routine, (ex, make up, chores), with your hair wrapped in a lightweight towel/turby twister.

~Distilled vinegar added to tea to enhances teas abilities and also provides hair with the benefit of vinegar's astringent/cleaning properties.

~When I first started these natural methods out, I had done so without the use of vinegar and I found that by night, my hair would be a bit greasy, so I used  baby powder with corn starch and found it absorbed up any grease instantly, with no presence of any damage whatsoever to my hair.

Philosophical Debate #2: A One-Sided Debate Against College/University

THIS IS A ONE SIDED DEBATE AGAINST COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY

Points to ponder:
~We are naturally born to learn and be productive. Now see that: standard education, western medicine, religion, poverty, nutrition, culture/society and laws in support of: education, western med, religion, poverty, nutrition and  cultural/societal 'norms' impede natural, inborn processes to learn and be productive.
~Illiteracy and censorship are forms of oppression.
~To so many, college is synonymous to huge, long term debt that cannot be discharged<=>financial aid. This debt is derived at a time in life when consequences of choices are shrugged off, a college entrant is typically full of optimism, not a bad trait if the cards are stacked in your favor. If cards are not stacked in your favor, then you are additionally tempted to pay tribute to your credit rating with credit cards; to so, so many, this is strike two and this strike definitely includes many who even have the deck stacked in their favor.

There are two good attributes from college and they both come with buts:

The first is college sports; this promotes a ton of great attributes, >>but<< it seems to me that even college sports is going to the way of big business and detrimentally high pressure instead of playing because one loves the game and others like to cheer their teams on<=>school spirit.

The other place college excels at is social life<=>social intelligence, >>but<< is it really necessary to spend all that money for a social life?

In conclusion, the world has all ready had its fill of college/university. One can now go online and/or order from your closest library; just about any course from any college and in many, many cases do so free.

Philosophical Debate #1 / Conservation vs Overuse

~Conservation vs. Overuse, and the pros and cons to both sides of the debate.
Does conservation inadvertantly limit the abundant capacity of Mother Nature?
Are there any instances where overuse of natural resources managed to increase the supply of the same natural resource? For example; the milk supply of a healthy, nursing mother will increase in direct proportion to a feeding infant's demands; the same is true for healthy, nursing mothers of twins, triplets, etc.

Food For Thought Memos

Introduction

Hello, My name is Christina aka SeeM.
This is an open house invitation to Mental Exercise and online Philosophy Club.

As Moderator:
I will give everyone and anyone world wide a chance to voice their opinions.
There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and abuse.
If any club member is caught directly criticizing anyone else, consider yourself warned that if it happens just one more time, you will be banned.
When one wishes to criticize, be sure to criticize the behavior, not the person directly.
I also will not tolerate anyone analyzing anyone else, whether or not you are a licensed shrink. I don't know about the laws in other countries, in the US one can be arrested for psycho-analyzing anyone else without a proper license.
